City set to snap up young, English attacker

Manchester City are set to snap up a long-term attacking target.

The Champions have been targeting Swansea's Scott Sinclair for most of the summer and Sky Sports believes the striker will join City by Tuesday on a £6.2million deal.

Sinclair has made it clear he wants to join City and the clubs have been negotiating over the past week over the terms of the deal.

The 23-year-old had been left out of the Swansea squad for the club's weekend game between the Swans and West Ham prompting further speculation that a deal was close to be finalised.

City boss Roberto Mancini has been vocal in his desire to add to his squad after being dismayed at the club's lack of activity so far this summer.
