No further bids for German striker

The chief executive of a German club has stated his club is not in talks with Chelsea over signing one of their star players.

Bayer Leverkusen chief executive Wolfgang Holzhauser told German newspaper Bild that no talks have taken place over a move involving Andre Schurrle to the Blues.

Rumours in the German and English media have suggested that Chelsea have rekindled their interest in the 21-year-old after having a bid for him made earlier in the summer turned down.

Despite these rumours of a new bid being made, Holazhauser insists there is no change in the situation and hinted that Schurrle wil not be moving from the club.
