Midfielder allowed to leave on loan but not on permanent deal

A manager of a target of a host of Premier League clubs has reiterated his desire for him to go out on loan but will not sell him.

Nuri Sahin has been linked with Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool this summer with the Gunners thought to be favourites, even more so following the departure of Alex Song to Barcelona.

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has ruled out Sahin going to Spurs as part of the Luka Modric deal but is happy for the 23-year-old to go out on loan this season after the Turkish international failed to make an impact in his debut season at Real.

Mourinho said: “The most important thing is that he is happy. The best for him and for Madrid is that he goes out on loan Madrid don't want to sell him. He needs to play and to prove himself."
