    Wigan bolstered by Miyaichi deal

Roberto Martinez has strengthened his Wigan squad with a season-long loan deal for Arsenal starlet Ryo Miyaichi.

Arsene Wenger imported him from Japan in 2010 but he has yet to make a senior appearance for the Gunners, so after earning a work permit last summer, he has been farmed out to gain some vital first-team experience.

The diminutive 19 year old winger was at Bolton for the second half of last season and although he could not help to keep them up, he impressed at the Reebok, making 12 appearances and scoring one goal.

He will now have a similar chance at Wigan after the Latics announced the temporary deal on Monday.
