Swansea City midfielder Joe Allen could be on his way to join former boss Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool.

Wednesday’s Daily Mirror revealed Allen is also a target for Tottenham Hotspur but Rodgers hopes his relationship with the midfielder will lure him to Anfield.

The new Liverpool boss is hoping to activate a clause in Allen’s contract which would allow him to leave if a ‘Top 5’ club – Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal or Liverpool – come in with a £15 million bid.
