    Chelsea Told To Up Lewandowski Bid

    German champions Borussia Dortmund have warned Chelsea that they will need to double their offer for their top striker Robert Lewandowski.

    With Shinji Kagawa having the left the club to apply his trade in the Premier League with Manchester United, Chelsea are looking to Lewandowski to replace Didier Drogba.

    The Daily Mail have reported that the European champions have had a £13m bid rejected for Poland's number nine which would have rose to £17m.  Lewandowski, 23, has got two years remaining on his contract at Dortmund and the Germans are very keen for their top scorer to stay at Signal Iduna Park.

    Now Dortmund are asking for £35m for the man who scored 22 goals in the Bundesliga last season however Chelsea are looking at other alternatives including Napoli's Edinson Cavani.
