    Wenger hints at Benzema deal

Arsene Wenger has dropped his biggest hint that he is ready to make a sensational move for Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema.

Benzema, 23 has been in and out the Madrid team this season and appears he will move on in the summer to find regularly 1st team football.

The French international was brought for a reported £40million back in 2009 from Ligue 1 club Lyon, but has failed to establish himself as a regular at the Bernabeu, despite averaging a goal in every 3 games.

When asked his opinion on the 23-year old, Wenger said "Viewed from the outside, it doesn't seem impossible today. He's a player that I like.

"I think he's intelligent in his movement, I think he is capable of combining well and making a difference, and of doing individual moves as well. So, for me he's a player who's at the top level in the world.”

A move would cost Arsenal around £40million which would more than double Arsenal’s previous transfer record José Antonio Reyes which set the club back £17million.
