    Tottenham in for Premiership legend

Tottenham Hotspur are set to offer former Man United and Real Madrid forward Ruud Van Nistelrooy a second stint in the Premiership.

The veteran striker is out of contract in the summer and is set to leave Bundesliga outfit Hamburg and will be available on a free transfer.

The Daily Mirror reports that Spurs have offered the Dutch international a deal at White Hart Lane and have given the 34-year old 48 hours to respond.

The prolific striker enjoyed a prosperous time at Old Trafford notching up 96 goals in 150 appearances for the Red Devils. His goal record was even more impressive with Real Madrid netting 46 times in 68 games.
