    Bayer not for turning

Amid speculation linking their star man Andre Schurrle with a summer switch to West London, and Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen have remained unruffled, according to Sky Sports.

The club's Sporting Director, the legendary Rudi Voller, has spoken of his relaxation over the issue. The reason, as you may wonder, is that the former Germany star deems it unsurprising that such enquiries have been made for a player of Schurrle's ilk.

The upcoming summer offers potential suitors the chance to trigger a rumoured £28.5 million get out clause in the player's contract. Whether the player will look to exercise this is another matter, but the pull of a top European side and extra money so often proves to be all of the motivation required.

Should The Blues meet this valuation it will mark a serious increase upon the offer that they reportedly made for the player last summer. If speculation is to be believed, then the reigning European Champions offered £12 million plus Kevin de Bruyne for Schurrle, who has 22 German caps to his name, amassing seven goals.

When questioned on the suppposed interest Voller is quoted to have said:

"It's totally normal for there to be enquiries for such a great player, even from London. That's part of the business."
