Championship star's price set at £25 million

If Liverpool thought in some warped way ex player Paul Ince taking charge of Blackpool would make a deal for Tom Ince easier then they are mistaken, with Sky Sports News indicating that Ince senior has set a value of £25 million pounds on the services of his son.

It would seem that blood is very much thicker than water and Ince is keen to keep his son at Bloomfield Road, further to that for Ince to leave his dad in the lurch and jump ship would take a huge and brave decision. Of course it might not be either father or son who have the final say, given that Blackpool might find a substantial offer to hard to resist and thus break the family connection at the club.

Ince senior's justification for the lofty price tag is that Wilfried Zaha was sold by Crystal Palace for £15 million, whilst you can argue all night over which of these two young players is better you can't disagree that the Blackpool managers evaluation of the pair is affected by more than a little bit of family bias.

It is likely to be one of the most talked about stories of the summer and with Paul Ince now in charge at Blackpool things look far from clear cut in regards to Tom Ince's future, for it might turn out that whoever decided to let him leave Anfield originally will have made one of the mostly costly errors of recent times.

    I wouldn't pay over 6 or 7 mil.
