Andy Carroll deciding where his future lies

It is not exactly a match made in heaven is it, Brendan Rodgers and Andy Carroll? So, it is no great shock to hear that The Metro are indicating that his Liverpool future looks more than uncertain.

Carroll, currently on loan at West Ham, has been hampered by injuries for the majority of the current campaign although having finally regained his fitness in recent weeks he is starting to impress at Upton Park. Whilst that form has not gone unnoticed by Rodgers it is not as if he is the kind of player suited to the managers ideals of slick passing football, in fact placing Rodgers in that system might just lead to him looking like a cow in a field full of sheep.

That said Carroll has qualities that nobody else in the Liverpool squad posses and if he can continue his recent revival up until the end of the season then he might yet for Rogers to reconsider, yes it would be a Babe the sheep pig like turnaround but it is still possible.

Even if he doesn't manage to turn the purist of footballing purist he should convince plenty of other suitors that he can be a real asset at this level and we are not just talking about hi current club West Ham here. Yes he might not be your typical modern day footballer but this a guy who on his day has the ability to leave more than a few defenders having endless nightmare's of his giant frame causing havoc.
