Ajax Rebuff Eriksen Liverpool Reports

It is all we have heard about just recently in regards to Christian Eriksen, but according the The Metro his club Ajax have simply had enough of talk of a move to Liverpool and are now suddenly not prepared to play ball with that story. So often has a move for Eriksen to Anfield been reported that you'd be forgiven for thinking that it was as good as done, however it is not time to start counting chickens just yet, with Ajax reminding everyone that he is still very much their player and nothing is in place yet.

That said they have not exactly back tracked completely given that there has been nothing to deny that Eriksen will not be signing a new contract with the club and it still seems a near certainty that he will not be with the club next term.

What is up in the air just where the Dane will be playing his trade, without question he is the type of player that so many teams would love to sign so there is likely going to undoubted interest which is why Ajax might be so keen to distance themselves from reports claiming that a deal with Liverpool is already done. For the Dutch club would love to generate a bidding for their prized asset and persistently linking him to done a deal move is hardly going to attract suitors.
