Champions League hit man linked to England

Reports from The Daily Express this morning claim that in-form forward Burak Yilmaz could be making his way to the Premier League in the summer with Manchester United touted as the most likely suitors with Arsenal and Liverpool close behind.

Obviously only having a 100 strikers available to him Sir Alex Ferguson must feel it is time he brought in much needed striking reinforcements. However unlike the famous 101 Dalmatians Yilmaz will certainly need no training in front of goal having hit a joint highest total of eight goals in the Champions League this season with a further eighteen strikes hitting the back of the net in the Turkish league.

The Express also report that Fatih Terim has admitted Galatasaray could lose their star striker and seems unable to stop Fergie's hunger of greedily snatching any striker that catches his eye. Yilmaz certainly has developed a taste for goals this season and will be looking to impress in the Champions League's main course on Wednesday night when his club dine at the top table of European football against Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid.

The question that arises from today's reports: Is Fergie's eyes bigger than his stomach or, in this case, his squad? On a positive note the Old Trafford faithful must be anticipating with excitement Fergie's ploy of fielding a team consisting totally of strikers next season...
