Italian outfit eye renewed move for Kop star

The Daily Express report that Italian giants Juventus will re-ignite their long term interest in Luis Suarez this summer. Having been emphatically knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by a stellar Bayern Munich outfit at the quarter final stage, the Turin club appear keen to bolster their squad ahead of next season’s competition.

Juventus are well positioned to win a second successive Scudetto, and are keen to replicate their domestic success by making further inroads into Europe’s elite. The 25 year old would be a great addition for the Italian champions, with a proven ability to effectively harness high levels of individual brilliance and a burning desire to be a part of a successful group of players.

It must be recognised that Liverpool have made slight progress within Brendan Rodgers first season at the helm. The former Swansea manager has instilled an attractive brand of football on the Kop outfit, with January signings Danny Sturridge and Phillipe Coutinho making an impressionable start at Anfield. However, recent dropped points against Southampton and West Ham have ended any harbouring hopes of UEFA Champions League qualification, a competition that Suarez yearns to be involved in.

If the mercurial talent that Suarez has become decides he must leave Liverpool to enhance both his own personal development and trophy cabinet, ‘The Old Lady’ are likely to face intense competition for his signature. The Uruguayan, with his myriad of technical capabilities, would most likely find himself in the starting eleven of any side across the continent.
