Eriksen being tracked by Premier League duo

Tell us something you didn't know, you say? Ok then, The Independent are reporting that both Liverpool and Tottenham are sending scouts on virtually a weekly basis to watch Christian Eriksen. Ok so it is not exactly football's best kept secret that Eriksen is being tracked by every man and his dog, but it would seem the two clubs mentioned above are currently making the most significant moves to sign the midfielder.

The Dane, who seems to have been one of those highly rated young players mentioned every window for forever, is looking unlikely to sign a new contract with current club Ajax which has seemingly sent several clubs past the stage of red alert. With the player out of contract in 2014 it was thought that Ajax would get every inch out of the player they have nurtured for so long, however it now appears they are looking to get a cash return rather than allow Eriksen to leave on a free.

Eriksen is a player of undoubted quality and one who has more than served his footballing apprenticeship with several first team seasons in Holland under his belt, whilst Michael Laudrup might have stolen his title recently of The most talked about Dane he is almost certainly going to be getting a daily mention in gossip columns as the windows starts to creak open and the bidding war for his signature intensifies.

It seems that both Spurs and Liverpool are determined to not be left behind in the battle and who can blame them given that it is expected most of Europe's top clubs will be making at least some kind of move.
