Rodgers set to raid old stopping ground again

It seems that chasing Ashley Williams is not quite enough for Brendan Rodgers and the Metro are reporting that the Liverpool boss is sniffing around the Liberty further in a bid to snare Jonathan De Guzman from under the Swans noses.
Whilst Michu has taken many of the Swansea new signing plaudits De Guzman has quietly had a superb season on loan at the Liberty and with that in mind they will be keen to sign him up permanently. The Villarreal man was once tipped for great things when he first burst onto the scene, however injuries saw him struggle to fulfill that initial potential.
However under the guidance of Michael Laudrup he is beginnig to flourish and whilst a move to Anfield might be tempting De Guzman should not forget that progress he has made in Wales or that he would not be guaranteed the football he is desiring at Liverpool.
That said Rodgers will be confident of turning his head and in the process becoming villain number one in South Wales, given that he has already taken Joe Allen and the rumours are more than strong with regards to Williams. Anfield might look to much of a temptation to turn down however Laudrup is not lacking in persuasive powers himself and he will be hoping, that he can stop De Guzman from becoming De goneman.
