Santos in no hurry to make Emirates return

Some good transfers news for Arsenal fans now and what is probably even more of a shock is that it involves a possible player exit. Fans must lay awake at night wondering which big name will be next to follow the likes of Robin Van Persie, Cesch Fabregas, Samir Nasri and co out of the exit door, however there will be nobody losing sleep over Sky Sports News reporting that Andre Santos would consider a permanent move to Gremio.

Santos had become a figure of ridicule at the Emirates following a series of indescribably dreadful displays at left back, so bad were his performances this season that many were questioning where on earth Arsene Wenger managed to unearth such a gem.

His loan move to Gremio had been met with vast delight at the Emirates, although the Brazilian's initial stance that he still aimed to prove himself was not greeted quite so fondly. However the fullback appears to be enjoying himself at Gremio and who can blame him given the abuse he was receiving at Arsenal. As much as Santos and Wenger wanted his move to work in North London it seems that this is one of those that is just one of those things that isn't meant to be.
