Heavyweights to fight for Fulham youngster

Highly rated Fulham youth player Patrick Roberts is attracting serious interest for two of the giants of English football, the Express reports, in the shape of Liverpool and Manchester United.
The 16-year-old forward is gaining a reputation as one of the best among his peer group, after impressing for both Fulham's youth team and England's under 17s. Indeed it was Roberts' international commitments with England under 17s over the past week that allowed Liverpool and United to further run the rule over his emerging talents.
Having been suitably impressed with what Roberts has to offer, both clubs are both keen to offer Roberts professional terms for when he turns 17.
Despite the interest of two of English football's biggest names, the Express has claimed that Fulham are desperate to hang on to the youngster.
The Craven Cottage club have allegedly brokered 'terms of agreement' with Roberts on a deal which, if true, would keep him at the club for the foreseeable future.

As a mark of their valuation of the player Fulham are supposedly prepared to turn down bids of up to £1 million for their starlet Roberts, who won his first England youth cap in September of last year.
