Manchester United goalkeeper set for exit, but which one?

It seems as though Anders Lindegaard is ready to admit defeat in his battle with David De Gea for the Manchester United goalkeeper jersey, with ESPN Soccernet reporting that the Dane will be looking for a move to find regular games.

Lindegaard and De Gea's battle had been going from blow to blow during last season and the beginning of this term, however it seems that De Gea has seemingly clinched this one, although you would have to say more by count back rather than by knock out blows. Both made significant errors however the Spaniards superior shot stopping ability and youth appear to have seen him through and his recent performances show every indication that he has now visions of giving up his prize, although for De Gea it is likely that there will be more testing duals as ahead if reports are to be believed.

The frustration of consistently picking up splinters on the bench is apparently taking its toll on Lindegaard who at 28 is reaching that age for a goal keeper when bench warming is no longer enough and with that in mind it would seem he has given up on the fight to be Old Trafford number one. As yet there are no possible moves being muted but you would think there would be plenty tempted by the once highly rated stopper.
