Frustrated Hulk eyes Premier League switch

Despite having only agreed on his £40 million switch to Zenit St Petersburg in September, Brazilian forward Hulk (less commonly known as Givanildo Vieira de Souza) has set his sights on a move to the Premier League after reportedly becoming frustrated and disillusioned with life in Russia.

The news has been met with delight by Chelsea, who twice failed to land the imposing forward before his move from Porto. The level of frustration that The Metro alleges Hulk to feel, has apparently led him to meet with boss Luciano Spalletti to request a transfer.

When questioned on his future by Russian media this week Hulk was coy on the exact details of his future, but did reveal the following: 'I love the Premier League,' he moved on to say that ‘The Premier League is a great competition with great clubs. If I have time, I watch the matches on television.’

Chelsea are known to be in the market for a new striker, as Fernando Torres continues to falter, and this provides timely news. The West London club have already ran the rule over Radamel Falcao and Wilfried Bony, but any deal for either is thought to be no where near completion.

The Blues would have to open their cheque book once more to secure Hulk's services, as Zenit would demand at least the amount that they paid for him. With The Metro reporting that he would cost in excess of £45 million.
