    Red Devils rekindle Costa interest

The Douglas Costa link to Manchester United was seemingly one that would not go away a while back, however things going incredibly quiet over recent times The Express are now reporting that United are looking at giving it another go with regards to signing the old flame.

Costa has for a number of years been one of the stand out Brazilians in a superb Shakhtar team, yet for reasons unknown he still remains with the Ukrainian outfit. It is hard to say just how much concrete interest there has been in him or whether his head has yet been turned, after all Donetsk is turning into an unlikely and successful second home for Brazilian footballers. Nevertheless you would think that if United's interest was serious then the lure of Old Trafford would surely be to much to resist.

Whether that interest is genuine or not is another matter all together, with the Champions in waiting hardly looking pushed for attacking options right now meaning that a gamble on Costa who has struggled for form of late would come as a bit of a surprise. Whatever happens with Costa's future it good to see that one the longest running transfer stories is still continuing to roll on, some years after it first came to our attention.
