Au Revoir Samir? Nasri could be on the move

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri is reportedly going to be given the chance to opt out of his Etihad nightmare, with megabucks Parisians PSG allegedly leading the chase The Sun reports.

Nasri, who joined City for £24 million from Arsenal in 2011, has fallen out of favour with boss Roberto Mancini this term. In fact Nasri has only started in half of their league games, despite helping guide them to the title last season.

The Frenchman is supposedly anxious to guarantee first team football, as he looks ahead to next summer’s World Cup Finals in Brazil. With this in mind PSG have stepped up their efforts to lure Nasri back to France, where he enjoyed success with Marseille. PSG tried to sign Nasri 2 years ago before he joined City, as their sporting director Leonardo is a fan of his.

Qatar Sports Investments, who own the club, have contacted Nasri’s father Abdelhamid and his advisory team to sound them out over a possible move. City are likely to take the approach seriously as PSG present one of the few clubs who will match City’s outlay for the player.

Nasri’s current deal runs until 2015, but cutting that short may be beneficial for all parties.
