Zlatan out and Rooney in at PSG?

So we all remember how well Pep and Zlatan worked out last time right? Oh yeah…

Despite the pairs’ previously rocky relationship The Daily Mirror are reporting that Pep Guardiola is looking to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic into the Bayern Munich side which he will be taking charge of next season.

Apparently the Swedish international is already becoming disillusioned with life in Paris (I’ve never seen Zlatan as much of a romantic) and could well be open to  move to the Bundesliga.

The 31-year-old has already stated that PSG will not be his last club, but would he really be enticed by a move to link up with Pep?

The twist is that the departure of Ibrahimovic would leave PSG free to snap up Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney who has been the subject of much speculation this week after being benched for United’s crucial Champions League match against Real Madrid.

The super-rich French side could table a £35m bid for Rooney, an offer which United could hardly refuse, as they look to assert their dominance in Ligue 1.

Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted that Rooney will be staying at Old Trafford next season, but if a genuine offer of £35m is on the table it seems likely that the England star could make a switch. Robin van Persie has clearly usurped Rooney as United’s lead striker and the former Everton man will be far from impressed at his place on the bench for crucial European nights.
