Frenchman linked with Arsenal set to move

Marseille midfielder Nicolas N’koulou, who has been linked with a raft of Premier League clubs, looks set to depart from the French club this summer. His next destination remains, for the time being, undecided.
Financial problems look set to force Marseille to accept any ‘substantial’ offer for the Cameroon international, as they look to ease their monetary woes. When he spoke to Sky Sports N’koulou appeared unfazed by the speculation, stating that he would be happy to negotiate with a new club so long as the deal was to Marseille’s satisfaction:
"I want to finish the season strongly and then we will talk about my position," he told Sky, "I love Marseille, they have been great to me. I am happy if everyone is a winner."
Arsenal are one the most prominently linked English clubs, as they look to add an element of steel to their midfield lacking since the departure of Alex Song to Barcelona. Arsene Wenger has reportedly had scouts watching N’koulou on a consistent basis over the course of the past few seasons, and he has caught the eye sufficiently this campaign as Marseille have challenged for the Ligue 1 title.
With any luck N’koulou will provide some bite to back up Jack Wilshere’s bark.
