      KaKa future still in doubt

One thing we can be certain of already, in regards to the Summer transfer window, is that KaKa is again likely to generate his fair share of column inches as the Brazilian yet again looks to find a way out of Madrid, just as has been the case in the last few windows.

Despite his undoubted talent and him largely being surplus to requirements it seems that his Real sentence is showing no signs of ending, although ESPN Soccernet have reported that he came closer than ever during this window to sealing an exit with Milan fighting until the last window to bring one of their favourite sons back to Italy.

It seems an eternity ago that Kaka was the star of world football with the Italian giants, with his star now barely flickering giving the lack of impact he has made in Spain. It is hard to pinpoint where or why the story went so wrong for him and unfortunately at the moment it looks like the career of a once great footballer is going to dwindle out in rather insipid fashion. That said things are not over just yet for as hard as it is to believe he is still only 30 years old and for a player of his unquestionable ability that is no age to be winding down, you only have to look at the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Paul Scholes for evidence of that.

Who knows whether Milan will come calling again but you have to hope for the sake of the footballing world that this never ending transfer saga does reach closure and we again get to see KaKa near his influential best. The Brazilian public will be particularly keen to see him back playing regular football next year given that the World Cup is now only just around corner and without question to have him firing would no doubt benefit their bid to take the crown. There are likely to be more twists and turns in this one and Madrid like all classic villains are not going to let this go easily but fingers crossed KaKa might yet get his happy ending.
