Ashley Williams attracting interest

Fresh from lifting the League cup on Sunday, Swansea skipper Ashley Williams has apparently been attracting a lot of attention from some of the Premier League’s top sides.
Despite his impressive performances this season apparently Michael Laudrup would be prepared to sell Williams at the right price as he looks to reinforce his squad next year.
On the surface this may seem like a rather odd stance from the Swansea boss, but a similar policy worked well this summer and hey, if it ain’t broke…
Joe Allen and Scott Sinclair both departed for hefty fees and have been replaced by a host of cheaper signings who have been arguably more impressive. Ask Swansea fans which two players they would presently rather see at the club; Scott Sinclair and Joe Allen or Jonathan De Guzman and Pablo Hernandez? I think I could guess the answer.
Steven Caulker also departed after his loan spell ended and similarly Laudrup replaced a key player with a cheap but clearly talented defender in Chico Flores.
If he can be trusted to do the same with the cash received from a sale of Williams then striking up a deal with one of the interested parties could make a lot of sense.
According to the Metro Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham are all interested in the Welshman who, at the age of 28, will see this as perhaps his last chance to play for a top side.
