Madrid offer Di Maria to clubs

After suffering what the paper describe as an ‘indifferent’ season over at Real Madrid the Daily Mirror are reporting that Angel Di Maria will be offered to some of Europe’s top clubs this summer.
The Argentinian international may well have impressed against Manchester United on Wednesday, but if the Mirror are to believed then Madrid are prepared to let him go, if the price is right.
Both PSG and United themselves are mentioned as possible destinations for the 25-year-old as the current La Liga champions look for a summer shake up which could well involve the departures of coach Jose Mourinho and top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo.
Di Maria certainly won’t come cheap. His move from Benfica to the Bernabeau was worth up to £30m and his contract doesn’t expire until 2018.
There are no actual quotes from PSG or United, or even the suggestion that they are interested. But with his own wingers experiencing, shall we say, ‘mixed’ fortunes this season Fergie would do well to at least consider a move for Di Maria.
Nani looks set to leave Old Trafford in the summer, despite his man of the match display against Reading in Monday’s FA Cup tie, whilst Antonio Valencia has regressed hugely from last season and is no longer an immediate starter. Wilfried Zaha, 20, will come in for the start of next season, but without any top level experience under his belt will surely take some time to bed in. And Ashley Young, well he’s still Ashley Young.
All signs point to a need for a top class winger. Will Sir Alex be tempted?
