    Bony could head to Russia

Wilfried Bony has made it clear that he wants to leave Vitesse Arnhem, but will he be heading for the exit door before the end of the month?

If he does, it will probably mean that he has successfully moved to the Russian Premier League, whose transfer window remains open until February 27.  According to Sky Sports, several clubs are said to be interested in the striker, with Bony now ready to leave his current employers.

The 24-year-old is currently the leading scorer in the Erdivisie this season, despite having just returned from Africa Cup of Nations duty with the Ivory Coast.  Formerly of Sparta Prague, Bony has found the net 33 times in just 55 league games for Vitesse since signing for them in January 2011.  The Dutch side will undoubtedly want to keep the player after their promising start to this year’s campaign, but his desire to move on may prevent that from happening.

Despite Bony having a contract with Vitesse until 2015, a big money offer from Eastern Europe could persuade the club to let him go this month.  Waiting until the summer may boost their chances of gaining a European place this season, but will the striker’s impressive form force them to cash in now?
