Everton in for Lampard

As if Frank Lampard didn’t have enough choices where to make his bucks next year according to the Daily Star Everton have now joined the chase to sign the 34-year-old.
Lampard will be a free agent in the summer and Manchester United, PSG and LA Galaxy have already been linked with a move for the midfielder.
When Chelsea do inevitably throw Lampard onto the streets, homeless and penniless as the papers would seemingly have us believe he has been urged by Roy Hodgson to stay in England for the sake of his international career and a move to Everton could therefore be attractive. The £80,000 a week wages David Moyes is apparently ready to offer probably won’t hurt either although if its wages Lamps is after then PSG or Galaxy are probably a better bet.
What The Star reckons Lampard really wants though is a new deal at Chelsea and apparently the England star is still holding out for Roman Abramovich to make a sharp about turn and come running, contract in hand.
For Everton the contract does seem a little generous. He is being offered three years which will take him to the age of 38. That’s right, 38.
Moyes has already seen the benefits of bringing in an England star slightly past his best with his signing of Phil Neville he is still going strong(ish) at the age of 36 having just made his 300th appearance for the club.
