Dzeko Manchester City future still uncertain

It would appear that Edin Dzeko is still not quite feeling the love at Manchester City, with ESPN reporting that he would be willing to speak to other clubs with regards to his future.
It is only recently that the Bosnian appears to have finally secured himself a starting birth and even now it remains to be seen whether he will be true first team regular once everyone is fit again, despite him being the clubs leading league goal scorer this term.
Dzeko's record is even more impressive when you consider that he has hardly seen substantial game time this season with him often being utilised in a super sub role - he has started just eight league games with his other 11 appearances coming from the bench - despite this, he has still managed to score an impressive 10 league goals, this goal scoring form is also nothing new when you consider that last year he scored 14 goals despite making just 16 starts.
What will have further hurt Dzeko is that on occasions the calamity that is Mario Balotelli has started instead of him, afterall it can only be a kick in the teeth to see a player who has caused nothing but trouble this term being picked over you when you are scoring goals whenever given the chance. Another reason for this possible feeling of un-wantedness is the fact that City are constantly looking to add further strikers, for example Edinson Cavani, when they perhaps they should be taking more time to utilise what they have rather than what they don't.
You would think it would be in City's best interests to keep Dzeko given his impressive record this term and you would hope that his recent run in the first team is an effort to show him that he is now valued as one of the clubs top dogs. Yes, he might not be as eye-catchingly sensational as other players in the squad but his record is incomparable and the general feeling is that only this season has he fully adapted to English football, so with that in mind City would surely be crazy to let him leave.
