Inter Milan line up £25m swoop for Dzeko

An interesting line from the Mail, they report that Inter Milan are contemplating a move for Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko.

Dzeko has always struggled to nail down a regular starting spot at City, despite a decent scoring record, and may have finally had enough of being used mainly as a substitute. Many of his goals have come from the bench this season but a regular starting spot at Inter would surely appeal to the Bosnian. Apparently City still value Dzeko at £25m though and such a high price could see Inter turning to Marseille striker Loic Remy or Internacional's Leandro Damiao who are also on their shortlist.

Even though they do have a multitude of attacking talent at their disposal City would still like to line up a replacement for Dzeko before letting him leave. Mario Balotelli has been out of form and favour this season so perhaps this makes a little more sense than at first glance but the man than Mancini apparently wants is Napoli’s star striker Edison Cavani.

The Uruguayan has continued his fantastic form this season and is rated at £50m. He is undoubtedly a top player but £50m seems a ludicrous amount of money to splash out on a striker when you’ve already got Tevez and Aguero on your books. Mancini could perhaps look at buying some top class wingers to add a little width to his side and their faltering title bid instead. Or you know, just stick with Scott Sinclair, up to you.
