      Swansea borrow out Lita

With Michael Laudrup's Swansea City sitting pretty in the Premier League's second place, the Danish manager has found time for generosity by giving one of his strikers to a less fortunate soul.

That is in the form of Leroy Lita being loaned out to Birmingham City after the 27 year old found first team chances at the Liberty Stadium harder to come by than a golden ticket to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.

Lita arrived in South Wales last summer from Middlesbrough but has gone on to make only four starts for the Swans while Laudrup has taken the job of Lita-marginalising to whole new levels by giving him a place in the matchday 18 just once this season.

Birmingham manager Lee Clark jumped at the chance to take Lita on loan, in a move that will be completed when the league emergency loan window opens on Friday, telling the Blues' official website that he will add quality to his squad.

And that's not one of those generic managerial comments usually made when they sign a new striker either, Clark has experienced Lita first hand after working with him at Norwich.

Lita’s spell at St. Andrew’s will take him up until the festive month of December with Swansea having a 24-hour recall option after his first 28 days at Blues.
