Baines takes reigns for Moldova test


Mop-top Leighton Baines is set to make his first competitive start for his country, over two and a half years after he made his debut, after news of the first-choice left back sustaining an unfortunate injury.
Ashley Cole, who was set to become England’s first ever full back to reach 100 caps, hurt his ankle in an attempt to reach a choc-ice from the bottom shelf of his freezer.
Baines has had a solid start to the season with his Everton side, playing well in a win over Manchester United and later in the impressive victory away at Aston Villa, but unfortunately has yet to find his way to a barbershop.
Cole has proved himself as one of, if not the best left back in the world but is said to be glad for the rest, as he doesn’t like playing away…
