Eggs-cellent news for Tangerines

It is unfortunate when a footballer is always remembered for one dreadfully unlucky freak injury but Blackpool's latest signing could well be that kind of man.

The Tangerines have signed up Kirk Broadfoot according to the BBC on a free after he left Rangers last week, that same Kirk Broadfoot who injured himself with a poached egg three years ago.

The 28-year-old full back had to agreed to stay at Rangers in the Third Division but has since had a change of heart and left the Newco.

The Scottish international has struggled with injuries in recent years but is confident he can string together some performances for his new club and force his way back into the international reckoning.
