There is such thing as a free lunch for Laudrup

It's bad enough when a good player of yours breaks his ankle and is ruled out for the season but it's even worse when it happens the day after the transfer window closes and you have no opportunity to bring anyone else in of real quality.
So as he comes to terms with the injury sustained by left back Neil Taylor, the Mirror suggests that Swansea manager Michael Laudrup will look for bargain basement free transfers as he attempts to bring cover for the crocked Taylor.
What kind of quality is out there in the free market will be hard to establish. After all, for every Michael Owen there's an Emile Heskey.
Laudrup has shown his canniness in the transfer market already this summer though and so will back himself to pull another proverbial rabbit out of the hat.
