Forest agreed to pay a third of Jenas’ wages

Nottingham Forest agreed to pay a third of Jermaine Jenas’ £45,000-a-week wages in order to secure him on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, the Daily Mail is reporting. The midfielder has found himself on the peripherals of the Spurs squad following the appointment of Andre Villas-Boas in July.
Jenas has regularly been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane, but failed to secure a deadline day more to White Hart Lane. However, the 29-year-old has now secured a loan move back to Forest, of whom he started his career with before moving to Newcastle United.
Reports now suggest that the Championship outfit are paying the midfielder £15,000 of his £45,000-a-week deal during the one-month loan spell. The news will come as a welcome relief to chairman Daniel Levy, who is known for his penny pinching at Spurs.
