Inter Interest In Sagna

It seems that every summer Arsenal sell at least one of their finest player. Whether it is Fabregas, Nasri, Henry or Van Persie, Gooners live in constant fear that their best players time is running out.
Rumours indicate that next summer, it will be the turn of world-class right back Bacary Sagna. This summer the Frenchman, like RVP will have one year left on his contract. This means that similarly to the Dutchman, if Sagna wants to force a transfer, he probably can as if a deal is not done he can leave as a free agent the following year. Sagna has also been making noises about his discontent at the north London club leading to him receiving stern words from Wenger.
The club leading the chase for the Frenchman is Italian powerhouse Internazionale. Although Mr Wenger believes Sagna will sign a new long-term deal in the near future, the lure of a huge club like Inter could prove too much for the defender.
However, there are some key differences between the Sagna situation and the RVP debacle. Firstly, RVP was Arsenal’s only goal scorer, there was no one waiting in the wings. This is not the case with Sagna as, while he has been injured, young deputy Carl Jenkinson has been doing a more than impressive job at right back. There have even been whispers that he might fight for the first team spot if he keeps this form up.
Secondly, this summer Bacary Sagna will be 30-years-old. His advancing years might mean that a huge transfer fee might be hard to turn down, especially with Jenkinson in the wings and Sagna’s poor injury record. Despite this, fans wil be distraught if Sagna were to leave.
