Baldini set to turn down Spurs

Franco Baldini is set to rebuff Spurs' attempts to lure him to White Hart Lane. 

The Lillywhites had hoped to secure the Italians services as Technical Director, however it is looking highly likely that Roma's General Manager will leave them wanting.

Daniel Levy had hoped to bring in the former England Assistant in as part of his plan to overhaul how Tottenham handle player recruitment. 

Baldini's role in the England set-up involved scouting, managing the support staff and making Fabio capello's job as easy as possible
