You can't buy history!

Jose Mourinho has stoked the fires ahead of his Real Madrid side's clash with Manchester City on Tuesday as the Champions League begins once again. The Special One, who has been targeted as a possible City manager in the past has spoken on the differences between the two clubs.

"There are some things money can't buy - history and trophies", said Mourinho.

On the contrary Jose, would City fans not argue that they have indeed bought trophies. Did the FA Cup and Premier League triumphs simply not count? How much did the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Angel Di Maria and Karim Benzema cost again? Let's not forget that City are playing in "the best league in the world". Would Madrid swap their cosy nights at Valladolid for a wet winter night at Stoke? Am I being a little ironic? Perhaps.

What is clear is that Tuesday's night match is set to be a hugely exciting one.
