Alonso could race back to England

Reports are today suggesting that former Liverpool favourite Xabi Alonso's time at Real Madrid could be coming to an end, with a return to England in the frame.

The mighty beard has a contract with Real until 2014 however has shaken is hairy face at the chance of extending his deal.

Juventus have reportedly targeted Alonso as their next high profile player they will fail to lure to Serie A, after huge success this summer in this department with Robin Van Persie and Fernando Llorente both snubbing moves to the Old Lady.

At least they have big-boned Nicklas Bendtner's hunger in front of goal to keep them going this season.
