An England international at Macclesfield?

Macclesfield Town have big ambitions. Having been relegated to the Conference last season, the Silkman want to return to the football league and beyond. However, perhaps they've taken "big" a bit too literally as the Daily Mirror reports that former England international and national treasure Emile Heskey has been offered the chance to turn out for the club.

Heskey is said to have had offers from at home and abroad since being released by Aston Villa (although no one has had the guts come out and publicly admitted that), and due to living only 30 mins or so from the Cheshire club, is though to be considering the offer.
