Fellaini denies Toffees exit talk

Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has performed a quicker U-turn than a SmartCar on a runway after denying weekend reports that he wanted to move away from the lovely area of Liverpool.
As reported earlier by a website not a million miles from here, Fellaini had been quoted in Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad that he believed that this would be his last year at Goodison Park.
His reason? He had seen it all at Everton apparently, but we doubt he has seen a flying pig or Tony Hibbert score a goal.
Sky Sports suggested such luminaries as Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City as interested parties in the crazily haired midfielder who has been in electrifying form in an advanced role so far this season.
Whether the electric has done that to his hair, we do not know.
Yet, in an absail-like climb-down, Sky have quoted the Belgian's Facebook page as announcing that those reports were complete hogwash, with the player happy in Liverpool and is set to stay.
Fellaini also expressed his delight in the signing of Kevin Mirallas and co. and looked forward to the rest of the season ahead with excitement.
So, the lessons learned today are 1) not to believe Belgian newspapers at face value and 2) clubs will have to look elsewhere for midfielders with gigantic afro-like hair.
