Chelsea still busy in the transfer market

Like a fashionable female hitting the Jimmy Choo, Dior and Prada shops of the high street, Chelsea have been extremely busy with their bank account down in the transfer market as a flurry has seen the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Kevin De Bruyne and Marko Marin for a total of £70 million plus.

But they aren't ready to take their shopping bags and go home just yet, with the Independent predicting some more business before they take on Manchester City in this weekend's Community Shield match at Wembley

The two players believed to be on the oil-tycoon funded shopping list are Wigan's Victor Moses and Marsielle's Cesar Azpilicueta (a dream for the type-writer) with a fee in the region of £16 million believed to be enough to land both.

Sky Sports say Marseille want £8 million for Spanish full-back Azpilicueta, while they also believe Wigan chairman David Whelan is after a similar fee for the Latics' talismanic winger Moses.

Whelan has admitted the 21 year old, in the last year of his contract, wants to leave Wigan for London instead of signing the new deal he has been offered at the DW, but stubborn Whelan won't let the Nigerian international go for a bargain fee less than £8 million.

According to HITC Sport, the crack with Azpilicueta is that Marseille president Vincent Labrune has said that Chelsea have made a "serious offer" for the 22 year-old right-back as they search for a replacement for Jose Bosingwa.

Refusing to stop there, Chelsea are also reported by the Daily Mirror to be after 21 year old German talent Andre Schurrle for a £25 million fee with Bayern Munich also interested in the Bayer Leverkusen star.
