Bad boy Morrison gets the Blues

Ravel Morrison will face a pivotal year at Birmingham after West Ham have decided that the Premier League step-up is too much for the troublesome teenager, so have sent him packing on a temporary deal to the Midlands.

West Ham signed Morrison from Manchester United for £650,000 in January in the hope that Sam Allardyce and his management team could finally turn the problematic winger onto the straight and narrow path.

However, his revival in East London has been a little slow, with just one appearance being made for the club who get promoted to the top tier back in May. The Hammers have now decided that he will not learn from warming the bench, so have sent him to join Lee Clark's promotion push at St Andrews.

A bright prospect at Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson turned a little red with rage when Morrison turned him down with what he percieved to be "unrealistic" wage demands and he was free to join Allardyce's Hammers.

A list of misdemeanours as long as his arm hasn't helped Morrison either, with a homophobic Tweet seeing him pick up a £7,000 fine, being accused of an harassment claim and picking up another fine, this time a £600 penalty for throwing his girlfriend's mobile phone through the window.

Morrison has signed a 12 month loan in the second city though and Lee Clark will become the latest coach to try his hand at turning Morrison into the talent his potential suggests.
