Clubs looking to pay over-the-odds for another Wolves forward

In a Daniel Levy-lite kind of way, Wolves Jez Moxey has made sure he gets top dollar for his big stars this summer transfer window.

Getting £14million for Steven Fletcher and £10.75million for Matt Jarvis is nothing short of genius for two players who, while probably Premiership quality, are hardly the kind of players who should be sold for that kind of fee.

Still, if someone wanted to pay £30 quid for my used underpants then I'm hardly going to stand in there way either.

In a roundabout way, we arrive at today's rumour in the Daily Mirror that another Wolves attacking player is the object of affection for Premier League clubs.

The paper reports that both Everton and Aston Villa are after Kevin Doyle with Wolves unwilling to let him go after seeing Fletcher and Jarivs already going out of the door marked 'bigger things'.

Still, there is always a price and Moxey seems quite good at going above and beyond that price so let us see where the Irishman who defines workrate ends up.
