    Joey barton - Just misunderstood

A message from me to anyone near Marseille... please, please come and take Joey Barton. I urge you. He is a extremely talented footballer, who has had some unfair criticism recently. He has plenty to offer and I am sure will be a huge success in France. His vision – exemplary. His touch – magnificent. His talent – undoubted. He will prove the steal of the decade. Trust me... please.

On Thursday I read news of Joey Barton and a possible switch to the South of France. My optimism of having a Barton free year have been dashed in a little under 24 hours.

I guess the French side must have googled Joey Barton and have made the wise decision to distance themselves from this story. I have no idea why clubs would even look at the man who has let himself down time and again. If he was a talented footballer he may be offering something to someone, but the only thing he can boast about is his unhealthy obsession with twitter.

His ramblings on the social networking site have often mirrored his playing style on the field. The only way he gets noticed is by attacking others. Verbally or physically. It really doesn't matter to him.

His assault last season on Manchester City's Sergio Aguero last season in the title winning game was nothing short of, well....assault. How did a club like Marseille even get linked with this vile and disgusting person? I will never know. Or Fleetwood for that matter.

If there is manager sitting somewhere, thinking that they can get the best out of this thug – deluded is the word I would use to describe him. Joey Barton has done nothing for anyone but himself. Even the people that have put their necks on the line for him will know this by now.

Anyway, where was I? Oh, yes...Marseille. - Mr Barton can be contacted via Twitter. But hurry, Real Madrid are planning to swoop.
