Moyes eyes up a fellow Scot

If there is one thing David Moyes really likes (and there is probably more than one to be fair as he would otherwise be a painfully limited man) it's signing midfielders.

According to the Daily Mirror today, the Everton manager could be set to sign another one and it's a bolt from the blue, although not quite a “sensational” swoop as the report suggests.

The paper speculates that Moyes could make a swoop for Liverpool wide boy Charlie Adam and make him the first player in twenty years to make the move from Anfield to Goodison directly.

The report adds that Adam is being hawked around like a second-hand sofa behind the scenes as he will not be part of Brendan Rodgers' plans and Moyes is interested in his fellow Scot if he can get him for £5million or so.

Moyes has been seeking advice about any potential backlash about signing a Liverpool player but Adam is believed to have no problem with the move and Everton could have an advantage in snapping him up as Kenny Moyes, brother of David, is Adam's agent.

      The plot thickens.
