Confusion in Song to Spain rumours

Mixed messages coming out of a report in the Metro today linking a product of Arsenal's youth academy with a move to a Spanish giant.
The paper reports that Barcelona are keen on signing Alex Song, who kind of became a heavier, bigger Pirlo-lite last season.
The Gunners are thought to want to keep the Cameroon midfielder at the club and Song himself wants to stay at the club according to the story.
Song said: “I am not going to lie if I said there is no interest but I am at Arsenal and I am happy at Arsenal.”
Barcelona are preparing a £11.7million bid for the midfielder with Zenit St Petersburg also thought to be interested.
So, interest in a player from club X, player would appear to want to stay at club Y, club Y wish to keep the player at the club. All clear and easy to understand?
Well, no.
The story goes on to say that Arsenal want Cristian 'let me hear you say Tello' Tello in any deal that would see Song go to Catalunya despite both England-based parties not wanting the deal to go ahead but there we go, speculation.
