Forget the Hulk, Chelsea want Canvani

So, Chelsea Boss, Roberto De Matteo has admitted defeat in his summer long pursuit of Porto striker, Hulk, and is now poised to move for Napoli's Edinson Cavani.
Amid claims that mega rich Zenit St Petersburg have made a bid of £38 million pounds for Hulk, De Matteo has set his sights on the Napoli star who is being touted for a 'cut price' deal of £35 million pounds...Every little counts, eh?
The Uruguayan has been in lethal form for the Naples side for the past couple of seasons and with Drogba leaving for football power house... China, and Salomon, or as I used to call him haventgotta, Kalou leaving too, Chelsea have been left without a recognised striker in their team. Oh yeah they have got Torres. Even more reason to get this deal done then.
Chelsea have been batting their eye lashes at Brazilian forward, Hulk, for almost a year now but a source close to the London club claimed that they knew the price and were unwilling to negotiate the asking price that Porto have slapped on their star man.
De Matteo, who has somehow received more financial backing already than AVB received, has spent big money on deals to bring two young players, Eden Hazard and Brazilian ace Oscar, and now sees the tall, powerful Cavani as the final piece in his Stamford bridge jigsaw. If they pull it off, what a team they could have for next season.
Hulk and Cavani have been the two most sought after forwards this summer, both having been linked with moves to the Premiership. Both players have the physical attributes to be huge hits in England. It does seem unlikely that the Brazilian will be coming to these shores but Cavani has emerged as a realistic target.
Just how realistic is anybody's guess.
