Dj Campbell for a Blackpool return?

QPR striker DJ Campbell could have been unhappy that it may be tougher than ever for him to break into Mark Hughes' new look squad of experience and nous at Loftus Road, but he may have been cheered up somewhat about the prospect of becoming orange again.

No, he's not booked himself in for a sun-tan, but he could be heading to the Tangerine club Blackpool, which would mean a move back to the seaside, and the seaside is always better than a sun-tan, right?

The Daily Mail had initially claimed that Blackpool boss Ian Holloway wanted to bring the striker back to Blooomfield Road for a deal in the region of £1 million and as speculation grew, so did the move's validity as the Mail went on to claim that QPR had given him the green light to speak to Blackpool representatives.

30 year old Campbell, who had been attracting the Pozzo family-funded eyes of Gianfranco Zola at Watford, hit 13 Premier League goals during Blackpool's one year stay at the top the in season before last.

His move to QPR was made possible by Neil Warnock who has since departed and after a year blighted by injury in which he scored just one goal and made just 10 appearances with a measly 3 starts, there are doubts about his place in Mark Hughes' future plans.

Ian Holloway has poured a bit of cold water on a move though by saying an possibility of a move appears to be "unlikely" at this moment in time, which is a bit unfortunate for Campbell who would definitely have had donkey rides and Pleasure Beach visits on the mind.
